The City of Lubbock has begun implementation of its new logo. The new logo has a much simpler, cleaner feel to it than the current logo does. The graphic to the left of the text is supposed to be symbolic of a windmill.
The older logo was very cluttered and bright, but in the shape of the top of a jukebox.
This new implementation affects quite a bit as it will require updating all letterhead, business cards, reports, etc. Among the largest changes are updates to city vehicles and street signs. The overall cost to implement the change is unknown at this time. However, I will submit an information request on the cost of implementation soon and will keep you posted.
